Einstein

Splitting Apart the Atom

Biography:

Albert Einstein was a 20th-century theoretical physicist whose ideas transformed modern science and reshaped humanity’s understanding of space, time, gravity, and light. Born in Germany, he is best known for developing the theory of relativity, including the famous equation:

E=mc²

which expressed the relationship between mass and energy.

In 1921, Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the photoelectric effect, which helped lay the foundations for quantum theory. Though often associated with abstract mathematics and scientific genius, he was also known for his curiosity, humor, pacifist views, and philosophical reflections on mystery, imagination, and the nature of reality.

After leaving Nazi Germany, Einstein settled in the United States and worked at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Over time, his distinctive appearance and revolutionary ideas made him one of the most recognizable figures in modern history. Beyond physics, he became a symbol of intellectual freedom, wonder, and the search to understand the hidden order of the universe.

Inner Meaning:

Albert Einstein has become a universal icon for genius and brilliance—of the marriage of creativity and intellect, and the humour that inevitably follows deep insight!

In his “miracle year” of 1905, Einstein wrote four scientific papers which completely revolutionized modern physics. At the same time, his insights into the nature of space, time, matter and energy have been so counter-intuitive that we are still trying to wrap our minds around them.

Regardless of our intellectual prowess, we all have this spark of genius within us. The genius of loving what we do, of pursuing our interests with our full heart, of not being afraid to be ridiculed or mocked for what excites our hearts. How is your inner eccentric genius doing? Are you giving yourself the freedom and permission to shine as you were intended to?

And trust—that whatever challenges meet you on your true path, if you persevere, they will inevitably lead to a breakthrough. Break through!

How To Play

Welcome to the Garden Oracle.

From the homepage, press open the Oracle and a guide will emerge to meet you.

These guides come from cultures, religions, myths, literature, and spiritual traditions from around the world. Some are fictional, some historical, some legendary. Their purpose is to inspire reflection, curiosity, creativity, and deeper encounter.

Every guide includes a biography and an inner meaning. You may read these to better understand their life, symbolism, and the themes carried within their story.

Consider why this particular figure is appearing at this particular moment in your life.
What might they be illuminating?
What questions do they awaken?

Each of these personages is a profound expression of the human spirit. Visit a bookstore and look for them on the shelves. Watch films connected to their story. Wander through libraries, conversations, myths, and old corners of the internet.

Let the Oracle become a doorway into the richness of our shared human inheritance.

Truth • Dare • Contemplation

Each guide offers the possibility of receiving a Truth, Dare, or Contemplation.

You may play with friends as a kind of mythic truth-or-dare game — a way of moving beyond small talk into honesty, creativity, vulnerability, and genuine encounter.

The prompts are not intended to be dangerous or reckless. Their purpose is to open a space for play, reflection, courage, and human connection.

You may also use the Oracle alone, as a companion for contemplation, journaling, inquiry, or creative inspiration.

There is no fixed way to play.
